Meet the Choreographers

Sankalp Sharma
Choreographer & Instructor
Sankalp has been dancing since childhood. He is trained in Hip-Hop under Rohan & Group in India. As he grew up he developed a passion for contemporary dance form and its organic way of movement. Sankalp started training under Terrence Lewis in 2013 and finished his dance diploma in 2015 in Mumbai, India.
Sankalp is co-founder of Dance Inc., a dance company whose focus is to spread contemporary movement awareness in cities like Ahmadabad, Jaipur and Delhi.
Currently Sankalp is enrolled as a full time student in an independent program at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance where he is studying the Graham Technique and Ballet. He plans to enroll in Peridance Capezio Center, in near future, for more intense training in different techniques such as Limon Technique and Improvisation.
Sankalp joined Junoon Performing Arts in September 2015 and strives to grow continuously as a dancer, artist and a performer.

Aparna Ramakrishnan
Choreographer
Aparna has been dancing from the age of 5 and has been competing at state level dance competitions (Folk/ Semi classical/ Freestyle) in Bangalore, India from the age of 9. She has learned Bharatnatyam from renowned Guru Vani Ganapathy.
Since coming to the US, Aparna has trained and performed with Surati inc with a focus on classical/semi - classical /folk and Bollywood freestyle in various locations at NY and NJ. Aparna joined Moksha Arts 3 years ago as part of the classical dance team and continues to perform throughout NJ & NY. She has been an instructor for Moksha Arts for 2 years in NY.
Aparna joined Junoon performing arts last year where she will be dabbling in Indian contemporary dance along with semi-classical and freestyle Bollywood.

Yeng Wong
Choreographer
Yeng is a self taught dancer and she started dancing at a very early age. She has been trained under Pooja Narang Lamba for Bollywood dancing and Jessica Hayden for Hip Hop. She has a passion for different dance styles with hip hop being closest to her heart.
Yeng has attended various workshops for contemporary dance under dancers like Shakti Mohan and Longinus Fernandes. She has also performed at various prestigious events like the Asia Society Museum – Diwali Gala, Madam Tussards NY – Unveiling of Amitabh Bachhan and Shahrukh Khan Statues, Bollywood FlashMob for IFC, Smile Operation Gala, Asian Heritage Festival with Mayor Bloomberg among others.
